Surfrider Foundation - Northern Michigan Chapter, Board Member & Volunteer

As a board member and currently the sole active leader of Surfrider Northern Michigan, I serve as the chapter’s marketing coordinator while working to rebuild and grow our presence following a significant decline in membership. I contribute to clean water advocacy, environmental education, and community engagement throughout the Great Lakes region. My work includes leading PFAS awareness initiatives, organizing beach cleanups, and advocating for shoreline protection and public water access. I’ve supported the expansion of the Great Lakes Friendly Restaurants program by engaging local businesses in sustainable practices. In addition to coordinating outreach and events, I develop marketing strategies and digital content to amplify our mission and reenergize volunteer involvement.
